Phase One: Roadtrip to Colorado

The Continental Divide in Colorado

The girls were great travel companions.
At right, they watched for me as I checked into a hotel.

Dana walking the dogs at a rest stop in Glenwood Canyon.

Dana went fishing with her dad and grandfather and managed to reel in a 17-inch German Brown trout, as compared to one of the fish her grandpa caught.

Bruce, Dianna and Role

This was a banner day for Emily Belle. She got to see her biological dad, Chico, her original dad, Bill, with her adoptive dad, me.

Jody and Dana in Jody's backyard.

Jody and Duane at a restaurant in Erie, CO.

In the middle of Kansas along I-70 is a sign for Moritz Road. Must have been named after some famous Moritz.

This is the Great Smoky Mountains between Tennessee and North Carolina.
Phase Two: Northern California

We hiked in Muir Canyon near San Francisco with Audrey and Role and enjoyed seeing some very tall trees. At right, Role and Dana near some flowers in Audrey's neighborhood.

After a day at Yosemite, the Young boys were out like a light.

We spent a day at Yosemite

Phase Three: Savannah, Georgia

Hungry people lined up in front of Paula Dean's restaurant in Savannah hours in advance. We passed on the five-hour wait.

An example of the interesting architecture found throughout the historic district.

The tree-lined streets had moss hanging from the branches.

I showed Kimi a big horse. She didn't say much about it.

Emily and Dana in the City Market area of Savannah.

Walking the girls along the river.
